Meet Amy Taylor!

I know a lot of people. As a result, I get one question regularly: “Who are the people you know that I should know?” I get it so frequently, that I’ve decided to share a few of them with you over the next few months. This post is my inaugural introduction to someone you should check out.

Last Wednesday, I had the pleasure of meeting Amy Taylor, a new addition to Geben Communication – their Director of Content and Community Strategy – and the author of An Open Letter from a “Fat Chick” to Mike Jeffries, CEO of Abercrombie + Fitchwhich went viral with more than 57K Likes in its initial posting, before being picked up by Huffington Post and numerous blogs and media outlets.

Amy Taylor

I had heard incredible things about Amy, but when I read her Open Letter, I knew we had to meet. Within 24 hours, it was arranged, and let me say, “She does NOT disappoint.” After a nice dinner, we returned to a little wine on our deck (forgive the iPhone photo). Hours later, all I can say is, “This Girl Is On Fire!” (Thanks, Alicia!)

You’ll love Amy’s use of words for sure, but her passion and heart will win you over. She’s smart and fun and driven and when it came time to part ways, I just didn’t want to, which tells you how captivating she is.

I have a lot more to say, but instead, I will let you find out by meeting her yourself. You can connect with her on Twitter – @NoMeatBalls or use your super Google skills and find her online elsewhere. Here’s something to get the conversation rolling: Ask her about pet rescues. I look forward to hearing about how your conversations go. Enjoy!
